• Are You Being Ask To Walk On Water?

    January 26, 2025
    Faith, Life

As we go through our lives as believers we try and be strong but we all face those times in which we question we doubt just like in Peter in Matthew 14: 22-32.

22 Immediately after this, Jesus insisted that his disciples get back into the boat and cross to the other side of the lake, while he sent the people home.

23 After sending them home, he went up into the hills by himself to pray. Night fell while he was there alone.

24 Meanwhile, the disciples were in trouble far away from land, for a strong wind had risen, and they were fighting heavy waves.

25 About three o’clock in the morning Jesus came toward them, walking on the water.

26 When the disciples saw him walking on the water, they were terrified. In their fear, they cried out, “It’s a ghost!”

27 But Jesus spoke to them at once. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Take courage. I am here! ”

28 Then Peter called to him, “Lord, if it’s really you, tell me to come to you, walking on the water.”

29 “Yes, come,” Jesus said. So Peter went over the side of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus.

30 But when he saw the strong wind and the waves, he was terrified and began to sink. “Save me, Lord!” he shouted.

31 Jesus immediately reached out and grabbed him. “You have so little faith,” Jesus said. “Why did you doubt me?”

32 When they climbed back into the boat, the wind stopped.

It is not really a question of whether you will be asked to walk on your personal water or not. The question is will you have the faith to do so when called?

  • The Most Important In Your Life Comes Easy?

    January 24, 2025
    Faith, Men

As I have begun to have some time to reflect on the decision to bring my wife home so she can spend her remaining time here on earth something has become evident. The decision itself actually was an easy one and took about maybe 20 seconds to say ” it’s time to go home”. That may seem trite but this decision was based on years of prayer, talks with her and the spiritual people God has brought into my life. Was it the right decision but when you make the most important decision you will ever make in your life there is a downside to it. (Like this morning walking down to check on her and she was in the fetal position)

When you make that decision, you are not only making it for your loved one; you are also making it for yourself. That in ways can be the most difficult part. The life we have known for over 28 years is coming to an end. It just is and there is nothing I can do to stop it.

So Satan attacks like never before and I just try and give her the best quality of life I can and that is all I can really do.

The flip side is once you make that kind of decision then everything else in so very minor in nature!

  • Blurred Vision In Life

    January 15, 2025
    Uncategorized

We all have those times when everything becomes a total blur. You face crisis after crisis, and your faith gets beat up because you become so physically and mentally exhausted that you say and do things that you would normally never do. That does not excuse one’s behavior, but it can serve as some sort of explanation, especially for believers. Of course this in when Satan attacks like never before.

So how do we all get through these tough times? The first thing I think one needs to do is allow yourself to be human and all the frailties that comes with that.

My favorite verse in the bible is found in Psalms Chapter 30 verse 5.

For his anger lasts only a moment,
        but his favor lasts a lifetime;
weeping may stay for the night,
but rejoicing comes in the morning

In the end that is the only true thing we have to hold on to when the crisis hit.

  • Bringing Her Home

    January 14, 2025
    Faith, God

A few weeks ago I made the decision to bring my wife home fulfilling her desire to die at home. ( which is very common). She keeps fighting and eats what she can but it is slowly fading. The most common phrase is ” if we make it to?”. The thing is that it’s true for all of us in one form or another. We all have a tendency to look ahead instead of looking at what is right in front of us.

For me, I keep telling her it’s going to be ok and she is positive in her thought process.

It was the right decision and I don’t regret it for one second but that doesn’t make it any easier.
