Faith How’s Yours Today?

Many people who claim they are people of faith have this notion that it only comes in handy during troubled times. In reality, it happens every second of every day. When you go to start your car each morning, there is a level of faith that it will start. The same thing can be said when you turn on any of your household appliances. You see its the small things that require faith, not the big stuff like failing health of a loved one.

So, how is your faith today?

God Never Changes

So often in life, we get frustrated because God isn’t doing what we want and in our time. Here is the problem with that thinking that we are all guilty of day after day.

GOD NEVER CHANGES

What changes is our situation in life, but not God. We moan and complain about how unfair life is, but this brings us to a bigger question. When Jesus died on the cross for all of our sins, how was that fair to him? He did nothing wrong from the moment her took his first breath to that day on the cross!

As I have reached what many would consider the twilight years of my life, I have learned one thing for sure. God is in control, and we are all just along for the ride! So, folks, we can all moan and complain all we want, but in the end, it doesn’t matter because no matter what happens

Going Home To Writing and Church

As some people are aware of last April I lost my wife of 28 years. To say it has been a roller coaster ride would be an understatement. After going through this process, I have come to 3 realizations.

  1. It’s time for me to return to my church. If all goes well that will happen in a couple of days.
  2. I have a right to be happy again.
  3. Writing is my true passion in life.

Over a year ago I met this woman and we talked, but let me make this perfectly clear, she was at no time disrespectful to my marriage. If we were 5 ft apart, that was too close in her eyes. I saw her again a few weeks ago, and we just started talking. ( She is the shyest person I have ever met) Now we communicate almost daily but its nice an easy. She is a talented artist, and we have talked about how we can grow her business.

I know I have rambled on some here but although I am really tired all the time.( I see Doctor this week about that) I am at peace on many levels for the first time in decades.

However, I am going to update the blog so don’t be surprised if you see changes soon.
