God’s Plan For Your Life

When we are growing up, we think we know what we want to happen in our lives. The thing for me is that even though I have fought against I have known since childhood what really brings joy to my soul, and that is talking about The Lord Jesus Christ.

However, there was a major obstacle to my plan. I had a severe speech problem, and my father made it clear that because of that, I could never do that. In fairness to him, these were the 1960’s, and he was only trying to protect his child. Now we fast forward 60 plus years, and so much has changed, of course, since then, with the biggest being the loss of my wife of 28 years. Something happened at the communion rail yesterday that came as a total surprise! It was like God was talking to me, and it was like the time is now to do what I sent you here to do. Now, a Pastor friend of mine will chuckle at the revelation because we have joked about this for years. When I stop and think about it, now is the right time to do what he has intended to do with my life. My wife is with him, and I have no other obligations. I have to deal with some hurdles, to continue to deal with but that is ok.

Giving Thanks In The Most Difficult of Times

As we go through life, it’s easy to give thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ when things are relatively good.

However, when things are bad, it can be extremely difficult to do the same. But here is the fallacy in that thinking. When things are bad, we all need to thank The Lord Jesus Christ more because without him we would never get through the tough times.

Joshua 1:9 – Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

Philippians 4:12-13 – I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

I know all of you are facing some sort of struggle in your life today but have faith The Lord God Almighty will always be there for you.

Today is……..

The calendar says it July 26th of the year 2025. Or is it the day The Lord God Almighty calls you home to the eternal paradise? So many of us have wasted so much time thinking we had more time than we actually did with working on something.

However, when we look at scripture it tells us something different altogether. It clearly does not say when the end is coming and to think otherwise is foolish. One of the ironies of losing my wife has been me thinking I have so much more time now she is gone. Funny thing is God decided before I was conceived how much time I was going to have on this earth. So is today the day you think it is or is it the day The Lord God Almighty calls you home?

God Works In Mysterious Ways

Earlier today something told me I needed to go to a certain Christian bookstore. I wasn’t sure as to why but I went anyway. While I was looking at some books I saw a gentleman fall. There was another gentleman trying to help him up but was struggling to do so with any good fortune. So I walked out to help and we were able to get the gentleman back on his feet. I thought ” now I know why I was sent here”. I went back into the store to start looking again when the gentleman that was helping approached me about a book I was going to purchase. We started talking and I mentioned the loss of my wife. He said his mother had died a few weeks back and his father was really struggling. I shared some insight on what it’s like to lose a spouse. His mother-in-law and wife walked up and we started talking about my current situation. The more we talked the more it became clear that I knew what I had to do and that is to be truer to my faith walk. Then comes the question of how do I go about that? At this point I simply don’t know what to do but I have to get past what others might think and do what God has put on my heart!
