Railroad Tracks Of Life

As we go through life it can feel that we are constantly being run over by a train. One can often feel like your back is nothing but a series of railroad tracks.

However , they are not, but what they are is the Lord Jesus Christ taking you through your life’s journey. There are 2 reasons for this happening. The first is to prepare you to fulfill your life’s work here on earth and the second is to prepare you to come see him in eternal glory!

So you can either embrace your train of life or complain about it but the truth be known you really don’t have a choice.

What You Are Going Through Others Can’t Understand

Some people have this bad habit of expressing to someone that they know what they are going through during tough times. The truth is they don’t have a clue and sometimes I think people don’t know what to say. It is ok to be honest with someone else who is hurting by telling them they you don’t understand.

If God has put it on your heart to reach out to someone then do it. It’s a mistake to allow other factors to interfere with what God has put on your heart.

Maybe that person who is hurting so bad just needs to hear the sound of someone else’s voice. Maybe something that is more tangible. Especially when it comes to serious health issues.

So has God put something on your heart tonight or in the last few days then you probably need to get to it as soon as possible because God put that on your heart. It’s up to you to act on it.

God Works In Mysterious Ways

Earlier today something told me I needed to go to a certain Christian bookstore. I wasn’t sure as to why but I went anyway. While I was looking at some books I saw a gentleman fall. There was another gentleman trying to help him up but was struggling to do so with any good fortune. So I walked out to help and we were able to get the gentleman back on his feet. I thought ” now I know why I was sent here”. I went back into the store to start looking again when the gentleman that was helping approached me about a book I was going to purchase. We started talking and I mentioned the loss of my wife. He said his mother had died a few weeks back and his father was really struggling. I shared some insight on what it’s like to lose a spouse. His mother-in-law and wife walked up and we started talking about my current situation. The more we talked the more it became clear that I knew what I had to do and that is to be truer to my faith walk. Then comes the question of how do I go about that? At this point I simply don’t know what to do but I have to get past what others might think and do what God has put on my heart!

Writing Inspiration

Through the years I have found many different kinds of inspirational things topics that I have opined on and some more than others. I think that as we long at topics to be inspirational to write about I think it all starts with how one sees the world. For me I’m a “big picture” thinker. I see the world as one giant jigsaw puzzle and I’m always trying to figure out where all of the pieces of life fit. Here is the fundamental problem with that way if thinking. The world around me is changing every second of every day so I’ll never find all the pieces which can be frustrating.
